The provisional programme of the 19th WISPS Annual Conference “From Celestina to Celestina’s House: Archetypes Old and New in Hispanic and Luso-Afro-Brazilian Cultures” (2nd-3rd November 2018, University of London) is now available at the registration website.
On Monday, an updated version will be uploaded, but this first one creates enough anticipation on its own.
Unexpectedly, there only is one session exclusively devoted to Celestina, but, it couldn’t be any other way, the keynote lecture by Dorothy Severin deals with Celestina as well. The other sessions are devoted to male and female literary archetypes, of all times and the whole Luso-Hispanic world, but I am particularly curious about the paper by Lesley Twomey “Joanna of Castile’s Prayer Book: Books of Hours and the Fashioning of Temporal Power”.
If you are in London at the beginning of November, and you are interested in Celestina, you cannot miss this conference!
